Testimony is underway in the trial of a Fort Carson soldier charged with murder.

25-year-old Jomar Falu-Vives is accused of killing two people and wounding another in two separate drive-by shootings last year.

Several people, including the first police officer on the scene and a witness testified on Friday. The defendant showed no emotion as they recalled what happened on June 6, 2008.

21-year-old Cesar Ibanez and 18-year-old Amairany Cervantes were gunned down that night while they were hanging up yard sale signs at the corner of Monterey Road and Carmel Drive on the southeast side of Colorado Springs.

Prosecutors say at least nine shots were fired. They believe Falu-Vives is the man who pulled the trigger.

The defense argues that several people were in the SUV at the time and someone else shot the two young adults.

21-year-old Rodolfo Torres pleaded guilty as an accessory to the murders earlier this year. Torres is expected to testify against Falu-Vives later in the trial.

I have known jomar for many years he would never do anything like this. He is a very sweet person and comes from a good family. I really do think that the other guy did it and he wants to bring someone else down with him. I'm really sorry for the loss of the victims family, but i know in my heart that Jomar is innocent. Only god knows what really happen that night. Jomar keep your head up. I love you!! and you will always be in my heart
