Colorado Springs police are investigating a bank heist that took place in the middle of the day Friday.

Police say it happened at the Wells Fargo off South Cascade a little before 10 a.m. Police say witnesses had a great description of the suspect and reported that the man ran out through the front doors of the bank with some cash.

There were 8 employees and 3 customers in the bank at the time.

Officers arrived and spotted the man matching the description of the alleged robber right out in front of the business. He was arrested and later confirmed by police to be the bank robber. His name hasn't been released but police say he is 47 years old.
