The sheriff's office has issued a summons to Anthony James
Sanchez accusing him of knowingly starting a fire on his property
and placing a building at risk of damage.

Sanchez is due to appear in court June first. If convicted, he
could be fined up to one-thousand dollars and sent to jail for up
to a year.

The fire started March 30th when Sanchez and his wife were
burning debris in small piles and a sudden wind fanned it into a
wildfire.

About 150 families had to evacuate their houses.
