It's home sweet home for nearly 300 troops from the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment.
The soldiers arrived Saturday afternoon and reunited with loved ones after serving a year of their life in Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was one of the largest homecomings so far.
Even Mayor Lionel Rivera was on hand to welcome home the troops.
"You get tears in your eyes when soldiers walk in the gym and families reunite with them... great event to see families reunited."
The troops join the 58 hundred soldiers already home from Iraq. Another 4 thousand are expected to return by April.
