Officials managing the firefighters at the 89-hundred-acre Picnic Rock fire west of Fort Collins say they have reached 100 percent containment of the blaze that was started more than a week ago.
Officials say the blaze destroyed one home and one garage -- and at its peak had forced residents of about 140 homes to flee.
Being contained means firefighters have established a fire line all the way around the perimeter of the burned area.
Officials also say they are estimating the cost at up to two-point-eight (M) million dollars.
Authorities still may file charges against a couple who lit a fire in their yard -- and watched it escape in front of strong winds.
