Washington Department of Health officials are reluctant to
definitively link the case to ConAgra. The firm recalled 19 (m)
million tons of beef earlier this month because of contamination.
The man told investigators he had purchased ground beef at
Tidyman's, a Spokane, Washington-based grocery store that had
distributed ConAgra beef.
Twenty people in Colorado have been sickened from beef provided
by ConAgra of Greeley. Additional cases are being investigated in
other states.
