Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. A teenager involved in a recent hit and run accident dies Tuesday night.
In the early morning hours of March 7th, 16 year old Megan Terrill was walking home from a friend's house when Canon City police say 45 year old George Largent hit her in his SUV then took off.
Terrill remained in critical condition at Saint Mary Corwin Medical Center until her death Tuesday evening.
Largent eventually surrendered to police was arrested and bonded out.
The Canon City police say new charges will be added.
Largent will be back in court march 30-th.
