The Colorado Springs Sky Sox have agreed in principal to a deal that would put up to 25 regular-season games on a regional sports network.
Altitude Sports and Entertainment is the network being launched by Kroenke Sports Enterprises.
Altitude executive Jim Martin says the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies falls right into the company's programming philosophy of providing better and more in-depth coverage of local sports and local teams.
He calls the Sky Sox a valuable franchise that hasn't gotten its due.
Altitude plans to broadcast to several states, including Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Utah, Nebraska, New Mexico, Montana and Nevada.
The network is scheduled to start broadcasting September First.
