Fort Carson Troops Return

Fort Carson welcomes home more troops.

About 70 soldiers from the Third Brigade Combat Team arrived at Peterson Air Force Base Tuesday afternoon.

It has been a long awaited homecoming for families of the troops. These soliders have been away for nearly a year. About 70 soliders from the B.C.T. left Fort Carson last April, and were stationed northwest of Bahgdad. They had been helping to rebuild the country.

This is just the beginning of an exciting week at the mountain post. Several hundred Fort Carson soliders are expected to return home in the next few days.
