Colorado Avalanche forward Steve Moore is back in the Denver area but in the hospital.

The team says Moore was flown from Vancouver, British Columbia to a Denver-area hospital Saturday, but wouldn't say which hospital
he's in. The Denver Post is reporting Moore is at Craig Hospital -- which
has a highly regarded treatment center for spinal cord injuries.

Head coach Tony Granato says Moore is in good spirits and appears to be on the road to a full recovery. Granato hasn't talked to Moore about playing again.

Moore was attacked from behind by Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi during a game last week in Vancouver. He suffered a broken neck in
the attack.
