Colorado Springs community leader Hulond "Coach" Copeland originally denied the charges. Now, he's copped a guilty plea.
We first told you about Copeland in November in a KKTV 11 News Exclusive. Police say he “sold” community service hours to offenders, offered them drugs and even ran a prostitution ring. Now, he's pleaded guilty to some of those charges.
A KKTV camera rolled, as Colorado Springs police went undercover to catch Copeland. Copeland’s gym was listed as a place where offenders could “work off” their court-ordered community service. But it turns out, Copeland didn’t run a gym. Instead, the officers say they "bought" community service hours, drugs and the service of prostitutes.
Copeland could face ten years in prison. He is scheduled to be in court again on April 26th.
