The Colorado Supreme Court today cleared the way for Kobe Bryant's attorneys to ask the 19-year-old woman accusing him of rape detailed questions about her sexual past.
The court denied an appeal by prosecutors without comment -- which means the woman will testify behind closed doors during
two-day hearing that begins March 24th. Experts and the prosecutor
himself suggested it will be a long and emotionally grueling
experience for her.
Prosecutor Mark Hurlbert says he is dismayed. He says in the future victims may not report their attacks for fear of similar humiliation. He had sought at least to limit the questions.
