Colorado Republican Representative Bob Beauprez says he won't run for the United States Senate.
His decision leaves the Republican Party without a candidate to replace Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
Governor Owens had urged Beauprez to run.
Beauprez says it's not the right time for him, his family or his constituents in the Seventh District.
Meantime, Boulder Democrat Elizabeth Baker has dropped out of the race as well.
Her decision leaves Attorney General Ken Salazar; Fountain educator Mike Miles; Denver attorney Brad Freedberg; and Boulder attorney Larry Johnson seeking the Democratic nomination.
Millionaire think tank founder Rutt Bridges and Democratic Representative Mark Udall also dropped out yesterday.
