University of Colorado football coach Gary Barnett told a television interviewer tonight that he probably shouldn't have answered a reporter's question about the ability of former CU placekicker Katie Hnida.
Barnett has been placed on paid leave while the university investigates an unfolding scandal involving the football recruiting program and the athletics department.
Part of that comes from Hnida's allegations she was raped by a teammate while she was with C-U several years ago.
While responding to that situation -- Barnett answered a question about her abilities.
e said besides being a girl she wasn't that good as a placekicker.
Barnett told the Larry King Live television show he wants to remain at C-U and expects to be reinstated.
