Kobe Bryant Case

District Attorney Mark Hurlbert says the woman would suffer
irreparable harm if the hearing is allowed to continue, by forcing
her to testify about private matters protected under the state's
rape-shield law.

The 19-year-old woman is scheduled to testify at a hearing March
24th and 25th in Eagle County District Court. The hearing will
focus on her sexual activities from the summer of 2002 to August
2003.

Hurlbert says the defense will claim that if the woman said yes
to other sexual partners, it's more likely she said yes to Bryant.
He says the rape-shield law is designed to prevent that.
