One man is dead after troopers say he rolled his truck.

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident in Las Animas County. Troopers say a 2001 Dodge pick-up was traveling southbound on Colorado 25, about five miles north of Trinidad, when it spun out and went into the median. The Dodge then rolled one time, coming to rest on its wheels. The driver, who wasn't wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle and came to rest in the median.

The driver was identified as 51-year-old Rickey Lee Lucero of Alamosa. Troopers say pending toxicology reports, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved. However, the roadway was wet and icy in spots. There was also fog. It is suspected that driving too fast for the roadway conditions was a factor in this crash

What is the problem with wearing seat belts? This is the 2nd or 3rd fatal accident I've read about where the people involved weren't wearing their seat belts and were driving too fast for the conditions. Hard to feel sorry for someone when they weren't putting their safety first.
