State budget writers warn more spending cuts are on their way as the deficit keeps growing.

In its proposal to the State Legislature on March 22nd, the Joint Budget Committee says it'll recommend cuts across the board.

The deficit is expected to grow to 484 million dollars over the next 3 years.

Proposed cuts amounting to about 3 million dollars will happen in programs that help feed and transport senior citizens.

Another 3 million is expected to be slashed from the budget for state parks.
