The Colorado Legislature will consider 2 bills dealing with abortion issues this week.
The first, if passed, would require a physician to perform an ultrasound and give the expecting mother a picture of the fetus before performing an abortion.
She would then have to wait 72 hours before the procedure.
The second proposal would replace the state's parental notification lawwith one requiring parental consent before a minor could have an abortion.
Abortion rights activists say both bills are designed to discourage the controversial procedure.
