Authorities in Tennessee are asking the public to keep a lookout as the search continues for an infant abducted yesterday from his mother's home.
They say the mother is recovering from wounds she said came during a struggle with a woman kidnapper. The mother says the abductor was posing as an immigration agent.
A police spokeswoman is appealing to anyone who might know "someone who has not been pregnant" and suddenly turns up with a baby.
Police say the baby's mother had a blue "IT'S A BOY!" yard sign outside her Nashville home, but they don't know if the victim was targeted because of the sign.
A doctor says the mother had a penetrating chest wound and that her lung had collapsed. He says she also had deep stab wounds to her neck, but is in stable condition.
