Kobe Bryant Case

Defense attorney Hal Haddon says that deprives people accused of sex crimes in Colorado of their right to equal protection.

One law says a defendant's sexual history is considered valuable information and should be presented to a jury.

The other, the state's “rape shield” law, says defense attorneys have to prove the alleged victim's sexual history is relevant in order to present it. Bryant's attorneys have asked state District Judge Terry Ruckriegle to declare that law unconstitutional.

Bryant says he had consensual sex with a 19-year-old employee at a Colorado resort last summer.
