Fire crews respond to a call around 7:15 Sunday evening.
Flames broke out at the Emerald Acres Mobile Home Park located on the 37 hundred block of North Cascade.
Once they gained control of the fire, they made a gruesome discovery. Fire investigators say there was a female trapped inside the burning mobile home. But by the time they got to her, it was too late. She was already dead.
Her son had escaped and stayed at Penrose Hospital, recovering possibly from snoke inhalation.
Neighbors called 911 after trying to get into the house but they say they were unable to because it was engulfed in flames very quickly.
Fire investigators say they don't know what started the fire. The mobile home is completely damaged.
