Light snow will stick around for the first half of the afternoon, with bands of moderate to heavy snow possible by the second half of the afternoon and evening. Friday we see snow wind down but the cold hangs on with temperatures only in the teens and wind chill values below or near zero for most of the day. For a look at additional snowfall potential and a preview of the weekend, head over to the "Weather" tab.
The change comes after 17 Coloradans were infected by E-coli
bacteria in ground beef from ConAgra's Greeley plant.
Officials at the U-S Department of Agriculture now acknowledge
they waited 12 days before telling the company they had found the
bacteria in its meat.
The new policy means the U-S-D-A will tell companies immediately
about any potential contamination. That way the meat can be
recalled while additional tests are done.
