Missing Person Found in Fatal Crash
While accumulating snow has ended for Colorado Springs and Pueblo, snow (heavy at times) will continue north and northeast of Colorado Springs. A strong north wind will also create areas of blowing and drifting snow along with reduced visibility in these areas A BLIZZARD WARNING remains in effect through tonight for Northern El Paso County northward to the Denver Metro Area. Travel is NOT advised in this area.

Missing Person Found in Fatal Crash
A man listed as a missing person is found in a fatal crash outside Walsenburg.

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatality that happened in Huerfano County, and the victim was listed as a missing person.

It happened on Highway 160, about 20 miles west Walsenburg, just east of the La Veta Pass.

A pickup, driven by 51-year-old Steven Michael Casias of Pueblo, went off the left side of the roadway. The pickup rolled several times and continued 200 feet down an embankment.

During the crash, Casias was ejected from the pickup. He was not wearing a seat belt.The crash was not discovered until Wednesday night. Casias was the only occupant in the pickup.

Casias was a subject of a missing person’s report that was filed with the Pueblo Police Department.
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
