New laws could be introduced that would outline clean-up procedures for meth labs found in homes or apartments.
Chemicals from meth labs can remain in rooms for a very long time and can cause serious health problems for people living in them.
There are currently no standardized clean-up procedures which can end up being very expensive for property owners.
The issue is gaining more attention. More than 530 meth labs have been busted in El Paso and Teller Counties in the past 5 years.
