A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
It's a drug problem that's growing every year in Colorado Springs---the production and sale of meth-amphetamine... a drug police say is highly addictive, affordable, and accessible. And now, it's turning up in neighborhoods where people least expect it.
On Friday morning, Springs police busted the 100th meth lab this year at 1920 Franklin Avenue in the Stratton Meadows residential area. And people there say they never suspected any criminal activity.
Undercover officers say this was a small to medium lab, but still capable of producing thousands of dollars worth of meth. And at this pace, they say we could see 125 to 150 busts before the end of the year.
