Colorado State Patrol Sergeant Rob Marone says the exact cause of the crash on Interstate 76 near Roggen is unknown, but he says preliminary information shows that a GMC Yukon carrying eleven people was eastbound just before 8 a.m.Tuesday morning.
He says it appears the Yukon went off the left side of the highway, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled off the other side of the road.
Patrol Master Trooper Ron Watkins says the driver is believed to be among the seven survivors.
Watkins says the victims ranged in age from infants to adults.
