Rain showers across the Southeast Plains and a few snow showers for the mountains, Teller County, and Northern El Paso County will be the story this evening. Any additional accumulation of snow should be light and confined to areas above 7000 feet, as the heaviest precipitation is over. It will remain chilly though. Tonight's lows will bottom out in the 20's for the mountains and high valleys, and in the 30's at the lower elevations. A freeze is likely for areas above 7000 feet, so if you want to extend the growing season of your plants, be sure to cover them or bring them inside tonight. If you live in an area likely to recieve a freeze tonight ( San Luis Valley, Mountains, far northern El Paso County ), you wiill also want to drain your sprinkler manifold tonight.

Looks like a few more days of this stuff, before a big improvement for the weekend.
