Hunting and fishing license fees could be on the rise if one state lawmaker has his way.

Fees could double to help fund the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

The lawmaker says the agency's funds have been recently battered because of chronic wasting disease and the West Nile virus.

The agency manages about 960 animal species in the state as well as 230 wildlife areas.
