Although we are still tracking some light snow and icy/snow covered roads, the biggest concern for the morning will be the frigid temperatures. We are starting off with temperatures a few degrees above/below zero. Due to a breezy wind this morning, our wind chill, or what it "feels" like is well below zero. Please bundle up with numerous layers as you head out this morning. You will likely need to keep all the layers on hand throughout the day as highs reach the teens and low 20s with lingering flurries possible. A proposal that requires hospitals to inform rape victims about the morning-after pill is becoming an issue in the state capitol once again.
The bill is being co-sponsored by Colorado Springs Representative Bill Sinclair.
He says he is against abortion but supports the use of the pill because it can cut down on unwanted pregnanices if taken within 72 hours of intercourse.
Opponents, like another Colorado Springs Representative, Dave Schulthies, believe easier access to the pills could encourage unsafe sex.
A similar bill failed last year.
