Morning After Pill

A proposal that requires hospitals to inform rape victims about the morning-after pill is becoming an issue in the state capitol once again.

The bill is being co-sponsored by Colorado Springs Representative Bill Sinclair.

He says he is against abortion but supports the use of the pill because it can cut down on unwanted pregnanices if taken within 72 hours of intercourse.

Opponents, like another Colorado Springs Representative, Dave Schulthies, believe easier access to the pills could encourage unsafe sex.

A similar bill failed last year.
