The Colorado Lottery Commission has banned its employees from accepting any gifts from vendors after a critical audit and the launch of a criminal investigation.
The new policy was approved yesterday. It will take effect after final approval by state regulators.
The previous policy allowed gifts of 50 dollars in value up to four times a month.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation seized lottery office computers last month as part of an investigation by the Arapahoe County district attorney.
The case allegedly involves gift-giving by vendors seeking to win or keep contracts with the lottery.
