Vice President Visits Colorado

Vice President Dick Cheney greeted about 200 troops and met with two wing commanders at Buckley Air Force Base upon his arrival in Colorado Monday afternoon.

A spokesman for the base says Cheney and his wife arrived a little after 2:00 p.m..

Colonel Allen Kirkman and Brigadier General Mike Edwards greeted the vice president on the tarmac and Cheney then chatted with the assembled troops.

Denver police escorted the vice president from the Aurora base to downtown Denver where Cheney is a guest speaker Monday night at a
fundraiser for President Bush's re-election.
