A liquor store owner has a big mess to clean up after firefighters say some kind of trash fire spread from outside into the store's ceiling.

Fire crews say the first call came in at about 3:48 Friday morning at the Red Rock Canyon Shopping Center in Colorado Springs. That's off 31st and Colorado Ave.

\Initial reports said the fire was strictly outside, but when firefighters arrived the fire had spread to the outside walls of parts of the shopping center and into the ceiling of Red Rock Canyon Liquor. "I'm thankful it didn't take the whole place," said liquor store owner David Kim. "I think they said 20 more minutes and it would have been a lot worse." Kim hopes to partially open his store for Labor Day weekend sales.

Firefighters say, The Bargain Mart, also located in the shopping center was affected as well. No damage was reported there. Firefighters say they were able to respond quickly because a fire station was just a few blocks away.

There were no injuries. The investigation into what caused the fire is ongoing.

maybe it was the secret service working for the Obama administration to take down any kind of business that would sell stuff that would affect our health in a bad way. it's all apart of the plan to promote nationalized health care and the govt doesn't want to take the risk of 'insuring' the people who choose to damage their health by drinking alocohol and moking cigarettes. hahaha...i was just kidding!
