Although we are still tracking some light snow and icy/snow covered roads, the biggest concern for the morning will be the frigid temperatures. We are starting off with temperatures a few degrees above/below zero. Due to a breezy wind this morning, our wind chill, or what it "feels" like is well below zero. Please bundle up with numerous layers as you head out this morning. You will likely need to keep all the layers on hand throughout the day as highs reach the teens and low 20s with lingering flurries possible. Sources have told The Associated Press that former Colorado Senator Gary Hart is seriously considering a challenge to Republican Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
Those Democratic sources requested anonymity when they said the two-time presidential candidate recently discussed a possible bid with national and state party leaders. Hart declined to comment on his prospects.
The 67-year-old Democrat flirted with entering the race in September but deferred when Congressman Mark Udall expressed interest. Udall ultimately decided not to challenge Campbell. Hart was the front-runner for the presidential nomination in 1988 but dropped out after being photographed in 1987 aboard a boat with model Donna Rice.
