The heavy snow over the weekend means Colorado is running ahead of schedule when it comes to the amount of snowpack.
Most of our water supply comes from creeks and rivers fed by the mountain snows.
Last week's storm dumped more than 3 feet of snow in the high country. That's helped raise the snowpack to 109-percent of average.
