A Pueblo woman missing since last week has been found dead. Police tell 11 News they do not suspect foul play.

The Pueblo County Coroner confirms it was 57-year-old Susan Halsey. Her body was found in a field near 705 Hunter Drive around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say a man and his 15-year-old son found her body in a cluster of trees.

Halsey was reported missing by her family on August 27 after she didn't pick up her daughter from school.

El Paso County Coroner Dr. James Kramer tells 11 News Halsey died of ligature.

Sgt. Eric Bravo with the Pueblo Police Department says evidence at the scene indicates she took her own life.

An autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death.

Sue was my friend of 32 years. We just spent a few days driving across the country to visit our parents. I keep going over that trip looking for clues. I loved Sue, she was always there for me. I wished I had known she was hurting, I would have helped. Sue was a kind and loving person, and I will miss her very much. She was family.

I did not know Sue, but my Uncle did go to medical school with her and said she was a wonderful person. My prayers are with her family at this time. May she rest in peace.....

Well I think that the Police and Investigators are being lazy, because How is it possible that a person can strangle themself? It doesnt suprise me that they (the Pueblo Police) would say no foul play. I mean It is Pueblo Police we all know how they pass things off so they dont have anything to do with it.
