Locally heavy rain and snow will impact Southern Colorado through Friday afternoon and early evening. Heaviest snow will favor the mountains, Teller County, and El Paso County. This will lead to difficult travel conditions by Friday morning. Heavy snow will also occur in the higher terrain to the southwest of Pueblo. The storm will wind down later Friday evening. The study shows the state lost about 76,000 jobs between 2002 and 2003. The annual unemployment rate doubled from 2.8 percent in 1999 to nearly 5.7 percent now.
