The Epsicopal Diocese of Colorado has a new leader.
Bishop Rob O'Neill takes office from Bishop Jerry Winterrowd and inherits a rift within the church.
Many Episcopalians are angry about the support the Colorado diocese has shown to the first openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson.
They are also frustrated with the church's approval of same-sex unions.
Many parishioners have asked their offering not be passed on to the diocese.
O'Neill says he has created a task force to study same-sex unions in the state.
