Disaster strikes twice at a local safe haven for animals.

What's left of the feed barn of the Black Forest Animal Sanctuary is just a pile of lumber.

It was burned down back in May.

At a cost of 60 thousand dollars, the sanctuary tried to rebuild it until heavy winds blew it down days ago.

And to make matters worse, the director says more animals are being brought in every week while the sanctuary continues to lose money.

Now they're asking for any help they can get ... donations or volunteers.

If you're interested in volunteering, you can call 719/494-0158 or 719/495-4526.

OIr if you're interested in making a donation, you can make them at the First National Bank located at 11580 Black Forest Road ... account number 120-2990.

You can also call them at 719/494-0500.
