An autopsy shows a woman whose body was found on train tracks in Colorado Springs died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Authorities haven't been able to identify the woman, whose nude body was discovered early yesterday. Workers with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad reported a train ran over the body.

The woman was white, between the ages of 30 and 40 and about 5’6”. She weighed about 165 pounds and has brown hair.

The autopsy report indicates she could have been a mother. Police say the body appears to have been on the tracks for a short time.

If you know anyone who is missing and fits this description call the El Paso County Sheriff's office at 390-5555.
