Murder Mistrial

(Colorado Springs-AP) -- The El Paso County district attorney's office is vowing to re-prosecute a man accused in a 1997 gang shooting.

Friday a judge declared a mistrial in the first-degree murder trial of Ernie Joseph Medina when jurors failed to reach a verdict after 28 hours of deliberation.

Medina was accused of killing 13-year-old Steven ``Gino'' Romero. Even though he didn't pull the trigger prosecutors say Medina helped plan the murder and hunt him down.

But jurors say they were troubled by the fact that Medina wasn't even in the car from which the teen was shot.
