After a nearly sixty mile joy ride, a green Toyota Sedan is left mangled on the side of I-25.

“The vehicle rolled off the side of the road and hit a sign,” said Colorado State Patrol Sgt. John Lupton.

Before that the green Toyota sedan was spotted swerving southbound on I-25.

Colorado State Patrol began getting calls from other concerned all the way back at I-25 and Arapahoe road in Greenwood Village.

“They were waiting on the vehicle as it was coming up southbound at the El Paso County line,” said Lupton.

The car lost control shortly after that.

Colorado State Patrol says it's tough to catch up with these drivers.

“It just depends on where the vehicle is and how busy we are, what else is going on.”

A nearly empty container of vodka was found in the car, along with numerous prescription drugs, the driver remains in critical condition.
