A Hazmat situation at a Colorado Springs Police evidence room sends 4 officers to the hospital.

Fire investigators say the four victims were going into the evidence annex room just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, when they were overcome by a strong odor.

Hazmat teams were sent into the room. But fire officials say they did not find anything significant.

The officers were treated and released for minor eye irritation. The room will be closed off until the investigation is complete.
