(Denver-AP) -- Attorney General Ken Salazar says the state's new
no-call list is working well, with about half of the state's
residential telephone customers signed up.
Salazar says businesses are complying, and the volume of
telephone sales calls to homes on the no-call list throughout the
state appears to have decreased significantly.
He said his office issued 63 cease and desist notices to 41
out-of-state companies and 22 Colorado companies.
All the companies contacted by the attorney general have agreed
to comply with the law.
There are one-thousand-460 telemarketers currently registered in Colorado.
