A lightning strike is said to be the cause of a 40-acre wildfire burning on Fort Carson.
The fire sparked Sunday on training land south west of the main Fort Carson area. The fire is 40 percent contained Monday morning.
Fort Carson officials say the Colorado Springs Fire Department and NORAD Fire Department have been helping fight the flames.
