Police say a man found laying in the middle of a Colorado Springs road caused an accident. That same man had apparently previously rolled a car and walked away from that accident.

This all started around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police were called out to the 1600 block of S. 26th Street on the report of a single car accident. That driver says they crashed after swerving to miss a man laying in the middle of the road.

Police say that man is Brandon Henning, 21. Officers on scene discovered Henning had previously rolled his car while driving on Lower Gold Camp Road. He then walked several blocks and apparently collapsed in the middle of the road where he allegedly caused the second accident.

After the car swerved to miss him, Henning tried to leave the area. He jumped off a retaining wall and injured his leg.

Police say alcohols appears to be a factor in the accident. Charges are still pending, and police are now investigating whether the car Henning rolled was stolen.

"LAYING in the middle of the street..."? How can we ever overcome incorrect grammar when you, a major member of the news media, commit such an egregious error?! Ugh!
