Former NFL QB Steve McNair Shot To Death
Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair has been shot to death along with another female in downtown Nashville.

Former NFL MVP Steve McNair has been shot and killed. His body was found inside a Nashville home Saturday. A woman, who was also shot to death, was found nearby. So far, police have not released any more information about the circumstances surrounding McNair's death.

McNair had spend most of his career playing for the Tennessee Titans

Titans owner Bud Adams confirmed the quarterback's death in a brief statement released Saturday.

Adams called him "one of the finest players to play for our organization and one of the most beloved players by our fans. He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl."

McNair led the Titans within a yard of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl.

So far police have not said anything as
far as the circumstances of McNair's or
the woman's death

I read on CNN that his wife is not suspected. My guess is that this could be a murder-suicide done by the girlfriend as the gun was found near her body and she was shot in the head. I guess that shows how trouble may find you when you are messing around. Too bad for his family though.
