Authorities say they are hunting in Denver for a convicted killer serving life without parole who escaped from a state prison Wednesday by hiding inside a trailer and leaping out when it reached Denver.
Authorities say 40-year-old Jody Aguirre apparently hid in a trailer and rode all the way to Denver from Buena Vista.
He jumped out and fled when it reached the Colorado Saddlery
Company in downtown Denver.
The trailer had been at the Buena Vista Correctional Facility to
drop off supplies and pick up work done by inmates.
Aguirre was convicted of murder and arson for a 1992 fire at a
Denver computer store that killed firefighter Mark Langvardt.
