It was a close call for a woman and her dog as the car she thought was parked began to roll into a creek, as she desperately tried to stop it.

Emergency crews say the woman thought her Jeep was parked in front of a creek at the Bear Creek Park on the east side of 21 Street in Colorado Springs Friday morning. When the woman got out of the car and went to get her dog out, the SUV began to roll. She tried desperately to try to get back in the car to stop it from going over the edge and to save her dog, but she was unsuccessful. She ended up hanging halfway out the driver's side door when the car came to a stop in the creek bed.

The woman sustained minor injuries but was taken by ambulance for medical review. Her dog was uninjured but went in the ambulance with his owner.

The Jeep sustained minor damage and would later be towed out of the creek.
