Low water levels are prompting the city of Colorado Springs to make changes at Prospect Lake in Memorial Park.

The Parks and Rec department is closing the lake to all watercraft activities, effective Monday.

That includes:

  • motorized boats
  • personal watercraft
  • rubber rafts
  • fishing tubes
  • remote controlled boats

This ban will remain in effect for the rest of the summer.
Boating permits are no longer for sale at this location.
