Pueblo police are investigating a series of small explosions linked to PVC pipe bombs on the north side of the city.

Two young men in Pueblo have been arrested and booked into jail.

Police say Tuesday and Wednesday nights, there were reports of several incidents where PVC pipe bombs have been put in a mailbox, an unlocked vehicle, and on the street and then detonated.

According to police, a witness reported the license plate number of the suspect vehicle to police.

Members of the police department bomb squad investigated the explosions and made the arrests.

In one suspect's vehicle, police found six functional pipe bombs.

Police and fire personnel blocked off several blocks surrounding the suspect vehicle while the bomb squad removed the pipe bombs from the vehicle and rendered them safe.

One suspect is 20-year-old Joshua J Allison. The other is a 16-year-old. His name isn't being released.

Both have been charged with possession of explosive/incendiary devices. Deputy Chief Andrew McLachlan of the Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad says the investigation is continuing.
